Rheem / RMC / Aqualine Fishing Contest 2011
  
This fishing weekend has been going for the last 16 years which makes it one of the oldest in the plumbing industry. There is no room for the PC brigade here, it is only open to plumbers, no wives or partners. This year it was held on Motutapu Island in the Hauraki Gulf. Over 100 plumbers turned up for the weekend event. It was held is perfect weather and even had a tsunami to liven it up.
Team Aqualine on Avenger ("Little Toot") beat all the other charters.
Pat thought he had the biggest fish until he was pipped by Rajh
The only down side in catching so many fish is you have to fillet them.
Unlike the RMC Charters, Team Aqualine keep nothing under 35cm.

The highlight was Geoff Thomas who came over to MC the prizegiving and fish with the plumbers.
Dale Healy took out first prize with a giant snapper.
Special mention went to Auckland Master Plumber Ross Ward who went to the wrong island, although Motutapu is attached to Rangitoto which you would think would be easy to find. Master Plumber of the Year 2009 Dan Baker turned up in his brand new launch and brought his wife. He will have to shout next year. And poor old Brian Chapman from Plumbing Solutions turned up a week early and wondered why nobody was there. He won a Mico Diary.
It was a great weekend and it is booked again for next year 11th 12th 13th March 2011.
